Kaity L. Miller
Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate
Kaity earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA). Her therapeutic approach is warm, encouraging, practical, and collaborative. She strives to elicit clients’ strengths and empower individuals to reach their goals. Kaity is committed to acknowledging and supporting all aspects of identity her clients feel are important including culture, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation. She practices with sensitivity towards individual and community trauma and is open to exploring impacts of racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression with clients. Kaity works with people of all ages and is especially passionate about supporting chronically or terminally ill people and their caregivers and families. She has worked with individuals facing cancer, grief, bereavement, big changes or life transitions, stress and anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, self-criticism, and low self-esteem.
To best tailor the therapeutic experience for each individual, Kaity draws from a variety of methods including cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused brief therapy, and mindfulness and self-compassion.
Kaity’s favorite ways to spend her free time are connecting with family and friends, painting, reading, and hiking in the mountains with her spouse and their rescue pup.
